WILL YOU
UNWRAP THE GIFT?
What is that “something” missing in your life…? What DIRECTION are you headed?Feeling empty? Is your LIFE A MESS? Or is everything fine, but…? Well, there is a gift that can make a difference in your life…
There’s a beautiful gift just for you! It is available to all, but purchased especially for you. All you have to do is open it and receive your gift. This perfectly wrapped present has been sitting before you for quite some time. It seems too extravagant to touch. You don’t want to quite ruin the decoration; you just want to observe it. But on the inside it has everything that you need. But you don’t know this, because you haven’t acknowledged the gift. Some have taken the gift, but haven’t made it their own. In order for it to truly be yours, you must receive the total present. In this package there is love, peace, joy and life – everlasting life. A box really can’t contain the contents that this gift has in store for you. But you must open the gift to get all that it has for you.
The gift we are talking about is the free gift of salvation. The color red, the Blood of Jesus wipes away sin, but you have to ask Him in. Have you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? This is the first step to freedom. Jesus must be living on the inside of you. If you are at the point in your life where you are ready to make a personal commitment to follow Christ, all you have to do is reach out to Him now in prayer. Don’t wait “to get it right” … you don’t know the minute that you will take your last breath. Our lives are not our own. He is listening and waiting to come into your heart and help you live a better life. Will you invite Him in now through prayer? You don’t have to know how to pray, just mean what you are saying. Allow your words to come from your heart. What does it truly mean to receive this gift and how will it change your life? Choose this day who you will serve: Joshua 24:15.
These three steps are essential to salvation:
REPENT: to repent means to turn around, to go in a new direction. We need to turn from living our lives our own way and from being our own god. We turn to faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior.
BELIEVE: What is it that we must believe? Believe that Christ died for you and rose again.
CONFESS: With the mouth confession is made unto salvation. What is it that we say? We must say what we believe—that Jesus is our Savior (Romans 10:9-10). Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus, is Lord (Philippians 2: 10-11)
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).
You can make sure that you are right with God by turning to Him and praying this prayer from the heart:
“God, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I REPENT, and I ask you to forgive me of all my sins.
“I BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is your Son that He shed His blood so I might be forgiven, that He rose again from the dead, and He is coming back again.
“I CONFESS Him now as my Savior. I confess my sins before You this day. I denounce Satan and all his works. I confess Jesus as the Lord of my life. Write my name in the Lamb's book of life. Today is my God-day with the Lord Jesus! I pray this prayer to the Father in the name of Jesus. I will live for you as you show me how. Amen.”
By believing in Jesus Christ and receiving Him as your Savior, you will turn your life in a new direction. You can be at peace with God, knowing you will live forever with Him.
